Silly, frivolous, and ridiculous but adorably cute and fun. Isla Fisher stars as the girl in major debt who is in love with shopping and part of the fun is seeing her wardrobe which is partly garish and partly fabulous. I read a scathing review of this film that complained about its bad timing with the current economic crisis, blah, blah, blah. But you know, most of my own clothes are from Sears, Marshall’s, and – dare I say it? – Walmart! - but I had fun living vicariously through Fisher’s world of designer excess and her breezy outlook on life. Surprisingly, co-stars include Kirsten Scott Thomas, John Lithgow, John Goodman, Joan Cusack and Hugh Dancy as the dreamy love interest. Good clean frivolous fun.
