Loved it. A lonely boy with a great imagination transports himself to a land full of emotionally complex monsters. I’ve never read the book, but I’ve read that the monsters in this movie are a bit scarier than the book – and yes they do threaten to eat the boy a few times! I’d have liked the movie to have more fun scenes and less moody scenes, but all in all I loved it.
